Working with windows phone emulator became easy and interactive, if you know your PC keyboard shortcuts for emulator. By default, your PC keyboard is not enabled for working with phone emulator and you have to operate it by using the emulator control keys only.
The windows phone emulator supports the mapping of your PC keyboard to the keyboard on a Windows Phone Emulator. The behavior of the keys is the same as on a Windows Phone device.
Moreover the Special characters on the keyboard of your PC are not supported by the emulator. To enter special characters you have to use the emulator.
How to Enable your development PC keyboard for phone emulator
To enable your development PC keyboard for phone emulator press the PAGE UP key. You can also use PAUSE/BREAK to toggle your PC and Emulator keyboard.
How to Disable your development PC keyboard for phone emulator
To disable your development PC keyboard for phone emulator press the PAGE DOWN key. You can also use PAUSE/BREAK to toggle your PC and Emulator keyboard.
